Private Pay vs. Insurance
Learn the Benefits of Self-Pay
Here at Southern Palm, we do not directly accept insurance and we employ a private pay model. Many insurance providers do offer reimbursement for our services, and for those that do - Southern Palm is happy to provide you with a verified super bill. However, more and more individuals are choosing private pay for the following reasons.
No insurance equals less documentation. This results in more quality time to focus on therapy.
Mental health diagnosis is not mandatory and not submitted to your private health records.
More services are allowed without restrictions such as telehealth.
You are guaranteed privacy and confidentiality.
Private pay clients are able to choose the focus, duration, and frequency of therapy. Many insurance companies limit the number and frequency of sessions.
Insurance premiums and life insurance policies will not increase based of mental health diagnosis and treatments.
You will be able to stay with your therapist even if your insurance plan coverage changes.
You choose the therapist best suited to your needs rather than the insurance company telling you who to see.
Greater access to providers in your area that specialize in the services you need.
Flexible scheduling and availability.
